So far this year PS4 has a fairly casual game in the Order and hardcore game in Bloodborne. I'm waiting for more in the middle. I haven't been gobsmacked like I was with Heavenly Sword or Killzone 2 from last gen. But I haven't bought DriveClub or KZ:SF yet either.
Still waiting for something amazing from MS, although Sunset was pretty dope IMO. I'm anticipating good things for Crackdown and Scalebound.
Silent Hills...! Hillssssss. Again general knowledge even if I left off the S. You said a lot without saying anything.
Zone of Enders games average an 80 on metacritic, if you follow such metrics. So it turned enough heads, enough to have it ported to PS3 and 360.
Plenty of games are collaborative efforts. Especially indie games, but others like Battlefield Hardline pull in collabos too. It doesn't diminish the individual efforts.
...
Zone of Enders , Castlevania: Lord of Shadows, Silent Hill...? Metal Gear Solid was his baby, but his genius wasn't relegated to that series.
General knowledge.
Whatever he makes will sell off his notoriety alone. Dude is a boss - practically made me a gamer with Metal Gear. I look forward to any word on his future endeavors.
I would love if he'd become head of Sony Japan Studios or something like that.
To be fair Halo has staled as well if you think about it. Happens, but both KZ and Halo are still 'tentpoles'.
There are more long-term costs to be considered when you slapping PS owners in the face. Turn your back on some fans and they may not comeback. It costs more to get a customer than to keep one. Smart business is often not taking a quick and easy check; it's doing what is best in the long run.
LOL @ Bathyj...you uber now huh? Play on player...what gaming is about.
From the trailer, I had the opposite impression you get from the article.
Graphics look awesome...
Batmobile is going to be awesome...
New additions to the combat...
Batline and gliding look easy and fluid...
Just another clickbait article.
Decent showing (thanks Phil), definitely better than some past years. By 2016 they'll have my interest. Crackdown, Sunset Overdrive and Scalebound for the win!! I'll wait for p/reviews for the 2016 games before jumping in, but XBox One games look promising for 2015.
Unless it is a mogwai I'd take it...! Worst case scenario it would have been a book end for my PS2 games. But I did wanted the Oddworld game back then.
This game is an indie version of Portal. Overlooked...magnetic gameplay seems far less interesting than creating portals. It'd be way cooler to get a 3rd Portal game.
Too early in this gen for Pachter to make the statement, but smart money is on the PS4.
Last gen there were only three series I thought would get me to buy an XBox 360: Mass Effect, Gears of War and Crackdown. The first came to PS3, the second I played on my friends, and along with the third seemed lackluster on its subsequent attempts. Nothing else seemed compelling or better than what PS had in my opinion.
This gen my views may be different for MS. Suns...
You suck at it too?
Not for everyone. Similar to the Order, but this game is on the other side of the hardcore/casual divide methinks. Goldilocks here is looking for one just right I suppose.
Dark SOULS, not Dark Stone. Althought that was a pretty good RPG back in the late 90's.
No where near a betrayal because it is a new IP. Now if you bought a popular game on a particular system for years and thus had every expectation they would have it on the system or have it multiplat (i.e., Tomb Raider), your cries of betrayal may be warranted.
More to the point re: ThunderPulse. Those are MMO's which were made for PC by the FORMER SOE, not by SCE.
Kojima...Kojima?...KOJIMA!!!
Well I'm one of the Kojima faithful. Dude is a legend.
It's the next title on my backlog after Arkham Origins. I let a friend borrow it, and it totally sucked him in for about a week.
Has anyone one played Deus Ex: the Fall. I don't know if it contributes to the story or not.
